Ísfell ehf. has signed an agreement with Mustad Autoline AS in Norway and will be the new distributor of Mustad Autoline products in Iceland and Greenland, as from Tuesday, 1st of September. Mustad Autoline baiting systems is a well-known and much-used brand aboard the Icelandic longline fleet. Other long line fishing products from Mustad Autoline will also be added to Ísfell’s product range including hooks and snoods.
In connection with this agreement, the company has hired Sigurður Óli Þórleifsson, former employee of Tobis ehf., where he managed sales of Mustad Autoline systems and spare parts. He will join Björgólfur Björnsson, Gunnar Þorsteinsson and Einar Sævarsson in Ísfell’s line and net division in Hafnarfjörður. A service contract has also been signed with Ragnar Aðalsteinsson, who runs the service company Línuspil ehf., which specializes in maintenance and installation of Mustad Autoline equipment. Ragnar will also take part in designing new Autoline systems, in co-operation with Mustad Autoline and Ísfell.
The new line of products will be an excellent addition to Ísfell’s product range, strengthening services to the longline fleet in Iceland and Greenland.
